Like every year, Sunreef Yachts has exhibited its premiere yachts at the Festival de la Plaisance in Cannes on the glamorous French Riviera. This year’s edition of the show was a very special one as it was marked Sunreef’s 10th anniversary that the company celebrated, in full bliss, at the scenic Old Port of Cannes where no less than four new luxury catamarans were displayed this year: EWHALA, SKYLARK, HOUBARA and ANINI.

On the 14th of September a superb birthday party was held with the presence of a most honorary guest, President Lech Wałęsa, himself. Mr Wałęsa, a truly living legend, is Poland’s first President elected in free, post-communist elections, a symbol of the fight for democracy and a winner of a Peace Nobel Prize. Deeply devoted to the Shipyard of Gdansk, where Sunreef Yachts is based, he is a symbol of all political and social changes in Poland in the 80’s and 90’s. Mr Wałęsa is also one of the most famous citizens of Gdansk, the city that Sunreef Yachts chosen for its base for both business and emotional reasons. That is why the presence of such a special guest was a very emotional moment for all the Sunreef team, as well as for the owners and friends that celebrated company’s anniversary that night.

In addition, the event featured also a sophisticated fashion show of the newest Spring/Summer 2013 collection by LA MANIA, live Jazz and a birthday cake followed by a moving speech by Francis Lapp, Sunreef’s Founder and President. To see the photos from this event, please click here.
