Sunreef Yachts Forum celebrates a brand that was born from a vision to revolutionize the luxury yachting industry. Founder Francis Lapp identified a gap in the market for custom-made luxury catamarans while running his charter business. In 2002, he established Sunreef Yachts in Gdansk, Poland, to construct bespoke multihulls.
Sunreef Yachts has expanded from its original shipyard to a second in the same region and recently opened a third in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. This new facility enhances Sunreef’s global presence, strengthens its foothold in the Middle East, and fosters connections with Asian and Australian markets. The company also boasts a global network of sales offices.
What is the Sunreef Yachts Forum?
Our success is built on the trust and feedback of our clients. The Sunreef Yachts Forum was created to invite feedback and continuously improve our offerings.
Part 1
The Sunreef Yachts Forum is open for discussion, and we have received valuable feedback and appreciation from our clients. One notable story is from Steve and Jane, owners of the Sunreef 60 DESSUS, who commissioned their luxury sailing catamaran in 2022. They shared, “Sunreef went to great lengths to customize the boat, giving us what we have today.”
Steve and Jane chose a multihull for its stability and spaciousness and selected Sunreef Yachts for their ability to customize the sailboat to their desires. Their requests focused on enhancing their sailing experience, leading to a flybridge with two helm stations, advanced navigation systems, and automated control panels. The remote-control feature allows the captain to steer the boat even when away from the helm.
Their Sunreef 60 also features in-house engineered solar panels for outstanding autonomy and interiors designed to feel like home. Steve and Jane were particularly pleased with the project manager who integrated a polished, stainless-steel handrail into their catamaran.
Steve admitted, “We saw the render, we thought if this finishes half as good as the render then we are going to be super excited! To be honest, it has completely blown us away; it’s more than what we ever expected.”
