Premiered at the Singapore Yacht Show 2016, the Sunreef Supreme 68 model instantly became a breath of fresh air in the boating world. The launch of the Singapore-based Sunreef Supreme 68 Eagle Wings, was the first time the industry had witnessed a sailing catamaran of 21m in length with a living space of 300m2 that was the kind of comfort one would normally expect to find on a superyacht.

Following this, Sunreef Yachts set afloat their second Sunreef Supreme 68 – Midori, Japanese for green: a stately 68-footer sailing catamaran with immense social areas and a Zen spirit. The owner’s inspiration for building this catamaran with Sunreef Yachts was to create a harmoniously conceived yacht reflecting the tranquility and moderation of the Japanese aesthetics and philosophy.

Midori’s original style combines well with the Sunreef Supreme’s innovative design featuring a superstructure made to maximize onboard space with a vast saloon opening onto the cockpit. Like a luxurious floating apartment, Midori opens new horizons for living at sea.

The sailing yacht owes her soothing atmosphere to Bram Van Scharen who was appointed by the owner as an interior designer and worked alongside Sunreef Yachts’ in-house design team to develop Midori’s signature décor. An adviser for high-end housing and private residential projects was also involved in the superyacht’s interior design to produce a timeless and discrete style giving Midori her unique touch. This was truly one that would be immune to trends, hence not aging any time soon.

Midori’s vast saloon surrounded with full-height windows spans over 65m² of smartly used living surface. Its bow section features a large galley stretching over the room’s entire width. The space under the centrally placed countertop conceals fridges, freezers, a wine cooler, and a Hoshizaki ice cube maker. Ample storage spaces and kitchen appliances are discretely covered with black matte panels found over the entire bow area of the main room.

The central countertop neighbors a large dining table with seating for eight and a customized Devialet loudspeaker remains at hand to set the mood. Midori’s floors and deck are entirely clad in teak wood and the walls are kept in a soothing smoke blue tone.

The sailing catamaran will sleep eight guests in the comfort of three cabins and one master suite, each given a distinct color scheme, varying from anthracite to aqua marine or eucalyptus. All of them feature clever storage, retractable TV’s, Fosgate speakers, and ample private bathrooms covered in sintered quartz and equipped with Vola accessories. The owner’s cabin benefits from a dressing area, a desk, a drop-down TV, and a generous master bathroom.

Midori features an immense flybridge of 65m² topped with an elegant bimini. This scenic area is fitted with a bar, a large sofa, and mattresses to obtain a vast dining and lounging space. The sailing yacht’s front terrace is the place to relax on large sun pads or to enjoy a bath in the Jacuzzi.

The luxury catamaran is equipped with an aft garage – featured on all the Sunreef Supreme 68’s. This spacious area provides convenient storage for a 5m tender and can accommodate up to two jet-skis, diving gear, and sail. The garage door, when lowered, levels with the yacht’s aft platforms to create an exterior lounging and sunbathing space – a solution introduced for the first time on a catamaran below 70 feet.

The Sunreef Supreme 68 Midori is rigged with a Hydranet Main Sail and Jib as well as a Code 0 and Parasail for a n optimized sailing performance in all conditions.
