Sunreef Yachts has redefined the future of luxury yachting with the launch of the Sunreef 80 Eco, the world’s most advanced sustainable catamaran. This all-electric multihull is a fully autonomous craft designed for fuel-free cruising in total silence and comfort. Built to operate in harmony with the elements, the catamaran stands as a true pioneer in responsible yachting.
Solar Power Redefined
Unique in the industry, the Sunreef 80 Eco features an in-house developed solar power system using ultralight, composite-integrated panels embedded within the hull sides, mast, superstructure, and bimini roof. This innovative photovoltaic technology can deliver up to 36kWp, an unmatched achievement in the world of luxury multihulls. Renewable energy lies at the heart of the yacht’s concept, combining solar power with hydro-generation and performance sails to provide unrivalled autonomy.
“We take a great step forward with this truly pioneering yacht. Renewable energy is the key element in the design of the Sunreef 80 Eco. Thanks to a revolutionary solar power system, hydro-generation, and performance sails, the Sunreef 80 Eco provides full autonomy, relying on the sun, water and wind.”

Generating Energy Under the Sunreef 80 Eco Sail
The yacht’s green propulsion relies on twin 180 kW electric engines, delivering top energy efficiency and reliability. While under sail, the catamaran recovers energy from the motion of its twin propellers through an advanced hydro-generation system. This setup allows the yacht to produce more than 15 kWh while sailing above 7 knots, powering both propulsion and hotel loads without emissions.
By combining breakthrough solar integration, clean propulsion, and luxurious design, the Sunreef 80 Eco marks a milestone in sustainable yachting, offering an elegant vision of a future where luxury and responsibility sail together.
