After a thrilling Desert X Prix in Saudi Arabia, the Extreme E series is going to Senegal for another fascinating off-road challenge. This unique event will once again put 5 teams to the test over a race featuring the world’s most advanced electric SUV’s. All of this in an effort to draw a maximum of attention to pressing environmental issues. Proudly supported by Sunreef Yachts, the Rosberg X Racing team leads the championship and now prepares for the Ocean X Prix taking place in Senegal May 29-30.

DRIVEN BY PURPOSE
Ahead of the Ocean X Prix, the Rosberg X Racing team will be joining forces with the Prince Albert II of Monaco foundation to support a project carried out by Action Contre La Faim. The project will see RXR support the Foundation’s work with rural communities in Senegal to monitor available water resources and the status of vegetation.

To survive the eight-month dry season, livestock farmers must adapt to climate variability and unreliable water resources. The aim of this initiative is to use satellite technology help better anticipate and respond to climate shocks.
A FOCUS ON THE OCEANS
The Extreme E Ocean X Prix places the oceans in the spotlight to raise awareness on issues related to plastic pollution. With 12 million tons of plastic poured into the oceans every day, plastic pollution is one of the world’s most pressing environmental challenges. Marine mammals, turtles and sea birds are its most direct victims, dying from plastic ingestion and entanglement.

The Extreme E race not only aims to raise awareness on pollution but also directly encourages people to take action with initiatives such as the Extreme E Count Us In challenge. Count Us In invites fans to back their favorite teams in the race by taking steps that contribute to a greener future. A TECHNICAL TRACK

Apart from facing fierce competition, the Rosberg X Racing drivers Molly Taylor and Johan Kristoffersson will be testing their driving skills on a particularly technical track.

The Ocean X Prix will be taking place on the tracks surrounding the iconic Lac Rose. Starting on the beach running alongside the Atlantic Ocean, the race is bound to be demanding with a number of obstacles including short drops, sharp rises and directional changes. Keep your fingers crossed for the RXR!
